Makes 2 medium size pizzas or about 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Flour 400g

    • Plain 200g
    • Strong 200g
  • Salt 8g

  • Yeast (instant) 3.5g

  • Olive Oil 28g

  • Water 240g

Method

  1. Add all dry ingredients to a mixing bowl and mix together
  2. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the oil then the water. Then mix together.
  3. If using a stand mixer, use a dough hook and mix on 1 for 8 - 10 minutes until it forms a smooth dough and comes away from the bowl. Otherwise, mix by hand until flour is combined fully into the dough, rest the dough for 20 - 30 minutes, then knead by hand for at least 5 minutes.
  4. Cover the dough with a lid, wet tea towel or cling film and let proof for 4 - 6 hours. If the dough rises too much for the bowl, poke it to release the air and deflate it.
  5. Once proofed, split the dough into 2 balls and let rise for at least another 30 minutes before stretching the dough into circles.
  6. Add toppings as desired
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for 6 - 10 minutes.
